How Businesses Respond to Digital Marketing

Digital Marketing Journal
Most of the businesses or eighty-three percent (83%) surveyed said that they find their efforts in digital marketing effective in achieving their business goal.

In a recent research study conducted by Clutch, we learned that about five hundred-one (501) digital marketers at businesses in the U.S. responded to how they utilize digital marketing.

Most of the businesses or eighty-three percent (83%) said that they find their efforts in digital marketing effective in achieving their business goal.
In that study, three channels in digital marketing emerged clearly as their top choices.

And that included social media marketing with eighty-one percent (81%), then website comes next – with seventy-eight percent (78%), and email marketing – at sixty-nine percent (69%).
So, how else did businesses respond to the use of other digital marketing channels?

In that survey, we could see that display/banner ads followed by only fifty-five percent (55%), then mobile apps with fifty-three percent (53%) and content marketing with fifty-three percent (53%).

There are obvious reasons why the three top digital marketing channels are the most favourite digital marketing channels of businesses.

We know that with the use of social media, website and email marketing, businesses can easily connect to their targeted customers directly.
Consumers today love engagement. And using such channels would allow you to tell your story. You can connect with consumers’ pulses.

You can learn about how they can use your products that appeal to their emotions.
And ultimately, you can relate to how exactly your company or your brand responds to your consumers’ needs.

So, how do the digital marketers of these businesses react to the use of SEO (or Search Engine Optimization)?

Well, what was surprising to learn was that only forty-four percent (44%) of surveyed digital marketers of businesses said they invested on SEO.
It goes to show that many businesses are still unaware of how SEO works, not realizing that SEO goes alongside other digital channels; and as a whole would generate effective results.

What are your thoughts on these recent digital marketing findings?
